Role

Lead one of Lumen’s attention consulting teams
-
Oversee market research projects (client brief, study design, deliver, reporting, recommendations) as a trusted advisor to Lumen’s existing client base

Help develop business opportunities within existing client base and beyond

Input into the development of new product development for Lumen

Lead and look after a consulting team (1 senior attention consultant, 2 junior consultants) to deliver projects efficiently and effectively; manage team members to help them achieve their full potential; hire new team members as and when appropriate

Be a thought leader at Lumen by speaking at conferences, running webinars, writing ‘think pieces’ and representing Lumen publicly
Requirements

Excellent consulting and analytical skills, including quantitative techniques: there are numbers a lot, so if that strikes fear into you, this probably isn’t the job for you.

Strong ‘story telling’ skills: turning quantitative data into actionable insight

Knowledge of the media industry – experience at a big media agency, publisher or social media platform would be welcome, but not necessary

Knowledge of market research methodologies, and an understanding of where Lumen’s work fits into the broader whole

Strong organisational abilities: the ability to meet deadlines, solve problems and deliver

Strong work ethic: we particularly value people who work hard throughout the data so that they can down tools at 5.30 and have a life outside of work. But that does mean that you have to graft during your 9-5
